This note opened the Imubit blog in September 2020.
The energy and chemical industries are going through a period of fast change, and artificial intelligence is reaching more parts of the business. Imubit builds AI that helps refining and chemical operators run their process units better. Much of our work is on engineering problems that, until recently, few people expected AI to handle in a running plant.
Our team brings together hydrocarbon processing experts and machine learning scientists. Our purpose is to develop technology that helps plants and their teams do more with the units and control systems they already have.
This blog is where that team shares what it knows. Experts from across Imubit will write about economic engineering, digitalization, process optimization and machine learning, for the engineers and leaders who run hydrocarbon processing plants.
For the past few years we have been working with refining and chemical operators, deploying our technology at their sites. We are now ready to share what we have learned along the way. We look forward to bringing you new content, and to hearing from you through our contact page.

Imubit today
Our work has widened since 2020. Imubit is Closed-Loop Physical AI for the process industries, with over 100 closed-loop controllers deployed worldwide, the largest install base in the industry. The blog now covers refining, chemicals and polymers, cement, and mining and minerals.
