Houston, Texas, January 27, 2025. Imubit opened a new research and development center in Cluj, Romania, on January 13, 2025. Its purpose is to put model building within reach of industrial teams across the plant, so the people who run a unit can build and own the AI models that describe it.
Teams that build and own their models
The Romania center is developing the capabilities in the Imubit Platform that let customers build and manage their own AI models. That gives customers more autonomy to build, evaluate and monitor models for a wide range of uses alongside closed-loop optimization, including training, planning and process insight.
The center is staffed by engineers and sits in one of Europe's growing technology hubs. It supports Imubit's work with customers worldwide.
Our customers are at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of what's possible with industrial AI. With the opening of our Romania R&D Center, we are taking a bold step toward democratizing multipurpose AI models that empower industrial teams to solve a wide range of operational challenges. This evolution reflects our dedication to meeting customer needs in an increasingly dynamic and complex environment.
About Imubit
Imubit is Closed-Loop Physical AI for the process industries, including refining, chemicals and polymers, cement, and mining and minerals. The Imubit Platform maps plan-to-plant gaps to the recurring operating decisions behind them, models the causality with patented Deep Learning Process Control® (DLPC®), and takes critical decisions to autonomous execution, inside limits set by plant engineers, on top of existing APC and DCS. Process engineers build and evaluate models in DLPC® Builder and DLPC® Explorer with no Python and no machine-learning background. Imubit has over 100 closed-loop controllers deployed worldwide and is trusted by 7 of the top 10 U.S. refiners. Founded 2016, headquartered in Houston, Texas.
