Dan Coombs
Retired Executive Vice President, LyondellBasell
Dan Coombs serves on the Imubit Advisory Board. He brings more than 40 years of experience to the role, most recently as Executive Vice President, Global Manufacturing, Projects and Refining, at LyondellBasell. There he also held executive vice president roles responsible for the global intermediates and derivatives, olefins and polyolefins, and technology business lines, with additional responsibility for global procurement.
Over his career Dan has worked across a wide range of petrochemical and refining disciplines, including global manufacturing, business line management, projects, joint ventures, technology, procurement, and corporate planning and development. Before LyondellBasell, he spent 37 years in total at Phillips Petroleum and CPChem, in leadership positions in manufacturing, specialties, aromatics and styrenics, international joint ventures, and corporate planning and development, in the United States and internationally.
Dan holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa and an MBA from Texas A&M University. He is a registered professional engineer.
